Music is nourishment for the soul. Singing connects our mind and our body, and it makes us relax and destress.

I am a big friend of Christmas carols – in all different languages. Singing with other people is a beautiful way of sharing something emotional, doing something fun, being close and feeling festive. It always makes me happy to see people sing, but more so to sing myself. It must be my inner child rejoicing – and I would love for you to experience that, too.

Maybe you don’t celebrate Christmas, but Hanukkah or any other holiday – I am sure that singing is something that can nurture your soul.

So I want you to pick a Christmas carol – or a song that for you is related with the holidays and their meaning – and sing it to yourself. Make sure you sing all verses, and dedicate the singing to yourself!

If it feels weird, close your eyes! Or,you can get help from other people, or even just by finding a recording and singing along. Whatever helps you get over shame and insecurity, and just do it, is allowed!

Tell me which song you chose and why – I am really curious! You can leave a comment below or post a comment or picture on my facebook page.
