Being creative, doing something with our hands that creates something beautiful, is one way of being right here and now. And that’s what helps us rest and recharge our batteries. It’s why painting mandalas has become so hugely appreciated.
Today I want you to draw or create a star or a Christmas ornament. Create something that brings you joy, and have fun in the process. If you want, you can do it together with someone else – any child, friend or family member who might be happy to spend this time with you.
It’s something you may have done as a kid, and an activity that hopefully brings back good memories and feelings – or creates some new ones! But at the least it can help you breathe, take a time out, and enjoy yourself for a few minutes.
Maybe you’re like some people who think that they’re not creative and they are “not good at doing this kind of stuff”. What if you find a way to create anyways? What if you get help? Or if you lower or change your expectation? What if you create something that makes you feel good – no matter how it looks?
I would love to know about your activity and experience, and to see your creations – Please leave a comment below or post a picture on my facebook page.

Hi guys… I still haven’t made my star…. but really have been enjoying this holiday here in Spain and good quality time with my son. Maybe tonight I’ll still get to make one… otherwise, I hope you’ll let it count that I put up the ornament my mother-in-law got me…?
